Zusammenfassung

Cholangitiden stellen nach Ätiologie, Pathogenese und Morphologie eine vergleichsweise inhomogene Gruppe intra- und intra-extrahepatischer Erkrankungen dar. Gemeinsam ist alien Formen, daß ein wie auch immer ausgelöster und gearteter entzündlicher Prozeß das Drainagesystem der Leber erfaßt, der mehr oder minder rasch, häufiger noch schleichend den parenchymalen Organbestand einbeziehen und gefährden kann und der spätestens dann lebensbedrohliche Veränderungen mit sich bringt. Dergleichen Cholangitiden werden im Folgenden nur insoweit besprochen, als sie das intrahepatische Gangsystem betreffen.
