Zusammenfassung

Kein geringerer als ARISTOTELES hat die Meinung vertreten, daß das Gehirn „Kälte“ das Herz aber „Wärme“ erzeuge. ARISTOTELES hatte ein „kardiozentrisches Bild“ des lebenden Organismus entworfen. Dies erinnert an das Urbedürfnis des Menschen, die eigene Existenz in einen begreifbaren Zusammenhang einzuordnen (HEINTZELER 1981). Im Herzen stecke der Mensch, nicht im Kopf (SCHOPENHAUER 1946). Das Herz erschien, eigentlich schon immer, als die „materielle Seele der lebendigen Körper“ (SéNAC 1749).
