Abstract
The fine anatomie detail of the hand and wrist presents a challenge for even the newest imaging technologies, and tests the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) capabilities of even the most advanced MR imaging systems. Much of the anatomic and functional knowledge of the wrist is derived from hand surgery literature and was obtained by anatomic dissection or surgical and arthroscopic exploration.
