Abstract
At the end of the fetal stage, the sites of origin of the future frontal and sphenoidal sinuses in the nasal epithelium display small frontoethmoidal and sphenoethmoidal recesses of a few millimeters, which immediately after birth start to pneumatize these bones. However, these sinuses become radio-graphically visible only after the fourth year. Due to the characteristics of these bones, their respective sinuses are apt to grow so much within them as to reach large volumes and the most variable shapes.
