Zusammenfassung
Die Einteilung der akuten Virushepatitiden erfolgt nach den verschiedenen bekannten Erregern. Es werden Viren mit einem hohen hepatischen Tropismus (Hepatitis-A-, B-, C-, D-, und -E- Virus) von Virusinfekttonen mit hepatischer Beteiligung unterschieden (Zytomegalie-, Ebstein-Barr-, Herpes simplex-, Varizella roster-Virus u.a.). Letztere sowie die vorwiegend enterai übertragenen Hepatitis-A- und -E-Virusinfektionen verlaufen selbstlimitie- rend. Chronisch verlaufende Infektionen sind durch Hepatitis-B-, Hepatitis-D-, und Hepatitis-C-Viren bedingt.
