Zusammenfassung
Gold und Goldsalze wurden schon bei den alten Chinesen und Ägyptern eingesetzt. 1890 entdeckte Robert Koch, dass Goldsalze das Mycobacterium tuberculosis in vitro hemmten. Danach gegen Arthritis und LE eingesetzt, weil man der Meinung war, diese Erkrankungen seien tuberkulöser Natur. Durch den frz. Rheumatologen Forestier 1929 als Chrysotherapie in größerem Stile bei rheumatischen Erkrankungen eingesetzt.
