Zusammenfassung
Controlling bedeutet Rationalitätssicherung der Führung in Willensbildung, Willensdurchsetzung und Kontrolle. Dieser Sichtweise liegt eine akteursbezogene Perspektive der Führung zugrunde. Der Realoptionsansatz eignet sich potenziell als Controlling-Instrument vor allem zur Rationalitätssicherung in der Willensbildung. Einige wichtige Fragen müssen jedoch beantwortet werden: (a) Wann ist der Realoptionsansatz alternativen Willensbildungsverfahren wirklich überlegen („theoretisches Potenzial“ des Ansatzes)? (b) Lässt sich der Realoptionsansatz für die Belange der Praxis hinreichend operationalisieren? (c) Ist von einer schnellen Adoption auszugehen und kann der Adoptionsprozess im Unternehmen positiv beeinflusst werden? (d) (Wie) kann eine rationale und sachgerechte Anwendung des Ansatzes sichergestellt werden? Der besondere Nutzen des Realoptionsansatzes liegt viel weniger, als die bisherige Diskussion vermuten lässt, in der Entwicklung einer neuen „pricing routine“, als vielmehr in der Bereitstellung eines neuen „mentalen Modells“. Für die Implementierung wird es von entscheidender Bedeutung sein, die Fähigkeiten und Interessen der handelnden Akteure zu berücksichtigen und ggf. zu verändern. Beispiel: Die spezifischen Bedingungen zur Vermeidung von Opportunismus, die in Kapitalmärkten für Finanzoptionen gelten, liegen in Unternehmen für Realoptionen nicht vor.
