Abstract

The main histopathologic findings can be summarized as follows:

  • Main findings: vasculitis affecting all sizes of blood vessels including arteries and veins

  • Types: leukocytoclastic vasculitis, Sweet’s-like vasculitis, lymphocytic vasculitis

  • Ultrastructural changes: specific degeneration of vascular endothelial cells, vascular stenosis, thrombus formation, lymphocyte-mediated fat cell lysis
