Abstract

To reduce the risk of developing Behçet’s disease consideration should be given to the following key points:

  • Aggravating factors: chronic disease, fatigue, insomnia, severe trauma, upper respiratory tract infection, menstruation, etc.

  • Preventive measures: plenty of rest, maintain daily routine, reduce stress.

  • Simple recurrent oral ulceration: check for other symptoms of Behçet’s disease (including pathergy test).
