Zusammenfassung

Der Anteil der Pankreaskarzinome an allen malignen Neoplasien ist 2-3%. Die Inzidenz liegt bei 7-8/100.000 für Frauen und 10-11/100.000 bei Männern. Das Verhältnis erkrankter Frauen zu Männer ist bei unter 40-Jährigen 1:2, bei über 80-Jährigen annähernd 1:1 (Kamisawa et al. 1998). Insgesamt ergibt sich daraus ein Verhältnis von etwa 1:1,3. Der Häufigkeitsgipfel für Pankreaskarzinome liegt zwischen 65 und 79 Jahren. Scit etwa 20 Jahren ist die Inzidenz in Europa und Nordamerika konstant (Rosewicz u. Wiedenmann 1997).
