Zusammenfassung
Tumoren sind im Kniegelenksbereich besonders häufig - und zwar bei Kindern wie auch bei Erwachsenen -, da hier die Umbauprozesse, vor allem im Wachstumsalter, besonders ausgeprägt sind. Der Weichteilmantel ist nicht sehr dick, die Diagnose wird daher, verglichen mit den stammnäheren Tumoren, verhältnismäßig früh gestellt. Die meisten generellen Aussagen, die zu Tumoren am Bewegungsapparat (v. a. bezüglich Prognosen) gemacht werden, beruhen vorwiegend auf Erfahrungen mit Tumoren im Kniegelenksbereich.
