Abstract

A — Ampere. Measurement unit for the strength of electric current. The official definition is that 1 Ampere represents the constant current that, if maintained in two straight parallel conductors of infinite length, of negligible circular cross-section, and placed 1 meter apart in a vacuum, would produce a force between these conductors equal to 2 ×10−7 Newtons per meter of length.
