Zusammenfassung
Akuter und chronischer Alkoholabusus verursachen eine Vielzahl von qualitativen und quantitativen Veränderungen der Hämatopoese. Dabei sind alle 3 hämatopoetischen Zellreihen (Erythro-, Leuko-, Thrombozytopoese) betroffen. Die Mechanismen, die zu diesen Veränderungen führen, sind nur wenig bekannt. Die durch Alkohol induzierten Schäden an anderen Organsystemen, insbesondere der Leber und (sekundär) der Milz, aber auch die bei vielen Alkoholikern vorliegende Malnutrition erschweren die Interpretation der zu beobachtenden Veränderungen, da Intensität und Art des Alkoholabusus sowie assoziierte Mangelernährung und Lebererkrankung in den untersuchten Patientengruppen stark variieren:

Eine manifeste Anämie besteht bei 13 – 70 % cler chronischen Alkoholiker.

Morphologische Abweichungen der Erythrozytopoese bestehen bei 35 – 70 % der Patienten.

Leukozytopenie (selten).
-
Eine Thrombozytopenie nach akuter oder chronischer Alkoholintoxikation wiesen 14 – 81 % der Patienten auf.
