Zusammenfassung

Die Lebererkrankungen (Fettleber, Alkoholhepatitis, Zirrhose) sind neben der chronischen Pankreatitis und den Malignomerkrankungen die häufigsten Alkoholfolgeerkrankungen. Eine Fettleber wird bei Patienten mit chronischem Alkoholkonsum in bis zu 90 %, eine Alkoholhepatitis in bis zu 50 % und eine Leberzirrhose bei 20 – 30 % gesehen. In der Bundesrepublik Deutschland wird die Anzahl der Patienten mit Leberzirrhose auf mindestens 300000 geschätzt, davon mehr als 50 % mit alkohol bedingter Zirrhose.
