Zusammenfassung

Im Rahmen der über die WHO koordinierten bevölkerungsbasierten MONICA-Herzinfarktregister wurde ermittelt, dass weltweit ca. 1 von 3 Erkrankungsfällen bzw.2 von 3 koronarenTodesfällen vor Erreiehen eines Krankenhauses versterben [1, 2].Am Ende des 10-jährigen MONICA-Zeitraumes stellt sich diese Situation für die 35- bis 64-jährigen Einwohner der europäschen MONICA-Zentren (Ausnahme: RUS_NOV Novisad) wie folgt dar [3]: Den Abb. 1-1 (Männer) und 1-2 (Frauen) sind die auch zu Beginn der 90er Jahre weiterhin bestehenden groβen regionalen Untersehiede in der Herzinfarkterkrankungshäufigkeit je 100.000 Einwohner (Morbidität) zu entnehmen.
