Zusammenfassung
Web Services und Peer-to-Peer werden oft in einem Atemzug erwähnt. Beide Technologien sorgen für Aufregung und wecken hohe Erwartungen. Sowohl Web Services als auch Peer-to-Peer verfolgen den Service Oriented Architecture- Ansatz. Bei beiden steht die Verteilung und Dezentralisierung im Mittelpunkt, auch wenn Web Services auf einer Client-Server-Architektur basieren. Web Services und Peer-to-Peer weisen viele Ähnlichkeiten, aber auch einige Unterschiede auf. Es ist nicht auszuschlieβen, dass am Ende eine hybride Technologie entsteht, die die Vorteile von Web Services und Peer-to-Peer in sich vereint.
