Zusammenfassung

Aborte sind Schwangerschaftsverluste vor der Lebensfähigkeit des Kindes. Die WHO- Definition von 1977 lautet: “the expulsion or extraction from its mother of an embryo or fetus weighing 500 g or less” [73]. Die Gewichtsdefinition entspricht etwa der 20.-22. SSW. Unterschieden werden Früh- von Spataborten. Die Grenze zwischen Friih- und Spätaborten liegt im Bereich der 16. SSW. Diese Differenzierung ist hinsichtlich der Abortursachen und eventueller prophylaktischer Maßnahmen von Bedeutung. Innerhalb der Gruppe der Friihaborte werden in neuerer Zeit noch Frühestaborte (nur biochemisch nachweisbar) von klinischen Aborten unterschieden.
