Zusammenfassung

Bei Erkrankungen des kleinen Beckens steht zunächst die klinische Untersuchung mit bimanueller oder bidigitaler Palpation im Vordergrund, häufig ergänzt durch die Entnahme eines Zytologie- oder Biopsiepräparats sowie durch den Einsatz endoskopischer Verfahren. Bildgebende Verfahren werden zur Diagnostik oder zum Staging von Erkrankungen erst in zweiter Linie eingesetzt. Primär kommt dabei die endolumi-nale und transkutane Sonographie zur Anwendung. Konventionelle Röntgenuntersuchungen wie das Infusionsurogramm oder Kontrastuntersuchungen des Darms können zur Therapieplanung erforderlich sein.
