Zusammenfassung

Im Juli 1999 startete ein bundesweites und hinsichtlich seiner Form und Intention bisher einmaliges Projekt gegen die Volkskrankheit Depression: das Kompetenznetz „Depression, Suizidalität“. Nach einem mehrstufigen Auswahlprozeß gehört dieses Kompetenznetz zu den Gewinnern einer Ausschreibung des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) und wird mit ca. 25 Millionen DM über voraussichtlich fünf Jahre gefördert.1
