Zusammenfassung

Früher traten Myome und die dadurch ausgelösten Beschwerden vor allem bei Frauen in den Wechseljahren auf. In den letzten Jahren sind Myome zunehmend auch bei jüngeren Frauen zu beobachten. Je nach Größe und Sitz der Myome können sie zu Problemen bei der Fertilität führen. Im Falle einer Schwangerschaft kann vor allem bei großen Myomen das Risiko von Aborten und Schwangerschaftskomplikationen erhöht sein.
