Zusammenfassung
Man unterscheidet 3 Steintypen: den Cholesterinstein, den schwarzen Pigmentstein und den braunen Pigmentstein, auch Kalziumbilirubinatstein genannt. Gemischte Steine enthalten die einzelnen Komponenten in unterschiedlichen Konzentrationen. Ein seltener, nur in Japan beschriebener Stein, ist der sog. Pfefferund- Salz-Stein.
