Abstract

An abnormal nipple discharge is one that occurs spontaneously in a nonlactating breast. Nipple crusting is the major clinical sign of a latent spontaneous discharge. The discharge may be unilateral or bilateral, may issue from one or more duct orifices, and may be continuous or intermittent.
