Zusammenfassung

Akute Bandverletzungen des oberen Sprunggelenks (OSG) gehören zu den häufigsten muskuloskeletären Beschwerden in der traumatologischen Praxis [35]. Sie nehmen in der Sporttraumatologie einen großen Raum ein und spielen sozioökonomisch eine bedeutende Rolle, da sie vorwiegend junge, auszubildende und berufstätige Menschen betreffen [15]. Nach Watson ist der „sprained ankle“ mit 31% die häufigste Verletzung beim Sport [37].
