Zusammenfassung
Leadership hat seit hunderten von Jahren fasziniert. Zunächst glaubte man, Leaders werden geboren, nicht gemacht. Ein Beispiel hierfür ist die „Great Man Theory“. Psychologische Forschungen machten dann deutlich, daß diese Theorie kaum das Führungsverhalten erklären konnte. Es zeigt sich, daß es keinen einfachen Ansatz gab, das komplexe Führungsverhalten zu erklären und vorherzusagen. Schließlich wurde das Emotional Intelligence-Konzept entwickelt, um Führungsstile zu erklären und unterschiedlichen „organizational climates“ zuzuordnen.
