Zusammenfassung
Notfall-und Massivtransfusionen können bei Patienten aller medizinischen Fächer notwendig werden. In der konservativen Medizin sind es v. a. obere gastrointestinale Blutungen, in der Kinderheilkunde Austauschtransfusionen bei Neugeborenen. Zweifellos überwiegen jedoch die operativen Fächer, so bei der Versorgung Polytraumatisierter, in der Geburtshilfe, aber v. a.auch intraoperativ und unmittelbar postoperativ.
