Abstract

Acquired UPD normally appears most often as segUPD and is a result of mitotic recombination. Trisomic or monosomic rescue leading to whole chromosome UPDs has also been reported. It is regularly observed with cancer (leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors) and acquired nonmalignant disorders. Partial disease healing by UPD has been reported as well.
