Abstract

Irregular astigmatism, one of the worst sequelae of corneal injuries, is a frequent complication of corneal refractive surgery. Options for the correction of irregular astigmatism are scarce, with limited results. Discovering new surgical methods to improve corneal regularity for the correction of astigmatism is of primary importance, especially as corneal refractive surgery techniques including laser in situ keratomileusis.
