Abstract
Computing tools are necessary for IV models. Both Excel and GIS software have been developed to be useful tools for complicated calculation in IV model. The Excel-based computing tool enable a semi-automated computation with the help of VBA, while the GIS-based one can realize entire computing and fitting processes of intensive resource use in a particular region and in time-spatial dimensions. The details of tools design, especially of the GIS-based computing tool, are explained in this chapter. A range of features, such as data sorting and management, resource condition suitability assessment, IV curve generation, etc., are provided in the computing tools.
