Cuba s an island country in the Caribbean. The nation of Cuba consists of the main island of Cuba, the Isla de la Juventud, and several archipelagos. With most of the island south of the Tropic of Cancer, the local climate is tropical, moderated by northeasterly trade winds that blow year-round. It covers 106.4 thousand of square kilometers and has a population of 11.25 million. Its GDP reaches $68.71 billion in 2011. Through the index system and evaluation model, the environment competitiveness index of Cuba ranks at 49 in 133 countries.
