Abstract

The ergonomics comprehensive evaluation of aircraft cockpit plays a key role in the efficiency of pilot–cockpit system and flight safety, especially for display equipments. Several standards and norms related to the ergonomics design and evaluation techniques of aircraft cockpit were established; however, there was not an operational and systemic evaluation method. Aiming at this issue, the process integrating modified Delphi, modified analytical hierarchy, membership function, and fuzzy evaluation method were proposed to solve display ergonomics certification. The inevitable fuzziness and subjectivity of ergonomics evaluation were taken into account to acquire and analyze expert opinion, finally realizing the quantitative evaluation of qualitative indexes. This method was applied in ARJ21-700, and the results proved the validity of this study and also be used as the evaluation guidance for other civil aircraft.
