Abstract

This chapter presents the results of hypotheses testing in investigating the relationship between organisational resources, organisational capabilities, relational capabilities, dynamic capabilities and firm performance. The chapter starts with the introduction of analytical techniques to be used in testing hypotheses. The results of data analysis will be presented in three sections. The direct contribution of organisational resources, organisational capabilities, relational capabilities and dynamic capabilities on firm performance (Proposition 1, 2, 6, and 10) will be addressed using multiple regression in Section I. This is followed by Section II, addressing the important role of integrative and relational capabilities in enhancing the effect of organisational resources and capabilities on firm performance and the development of dynamic capabilities (Proposition 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9). Lastly, the Section III of this chapter investigates the mediating effect of dynamic capabilities on the relationship between organisational resources, capabilities and performance, addressing Proposition 11 and Proposition 12.
