Zusammenfassung

Vor etwas mehr als 20 Jahren — 1932 — hielt hier in Wiesbaden auf einer gemeinsamen Tagung der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Innere Medizin und der Deutschen Pharmakologischen Gesellschaft Henry Dale ein Referat über „Kreislaufwirkungen körpereigener Stoffe“. Ich selbst hatte damals als junger Assistent bei Dale in London gearbeitet und war mit nach Wiesbaden gekommen, um einen Vortrag über die Kreislaufwirkung des Vasopressins, des gefäßwirksamen Hormons des Hypophysenhinterlappens, zu halten, die ich in Dales Laboratorium untersucht hatte. Den Vorsitz der Tagung hatten Otto Loewi und Paul Morawitz.
