Résumé

Dans l’intention de gagner les quelques jours qui rendent possible la guérison de la plupart des insuffisances rénales aiguës, les cliniciens ont conçu depuis 10 ans des procédés aptes à éliminer hors de l’organisme les déchets azotés. Mais les perturbations humorales que présentent ces malades ne sauraient être limitées à la rétention des seuls aboutissants du catabolisme protéique; bien d’autres désordres biochimiques modifient la composition du milieu intérieur et prennent une large part dans les différentes manifestations de l’urémie aiguë. Nos connaissances dans ce domaine se sont beaucoup étendues ces dernières années et, sans faire une part trop grande à l’hypothèse, on peut grouper avec J. Hamburger (4) (8 bis) les désordres humoraux en grands syndromes biologiques dont les principaux sont

  • La rétention azotée

  • Les troubles de l’hydratation

  • Les perturbations électrolytiques (équilibre osmotique et acidobasique).
