Zusammenfassung
Viele DB-Systeme arbeiten nach dem Konzept des Inverted File (IF). Dies besagt, daß viele Feldtypen als Schlüssel deklariert werden können, wenn Werte dieser Felder oft in Anfragen vorkommen. Für jeden Feldtyp, der als Schlüssel aufgefaßt werden soll, wird vom DBS ein Index (evtl. mehrstufig) erstellt. Diese Grundidee kann auf vielfältige Art und Weise implementiert werden.
