Zusammenfassung
Die radioaktiven Isotope der Elemente kommen heute in ständig steigendem Ausmaß zur Anwendung in der medizinischen und industriellen Praxis und in unzähligen Forschungsgebieten. In allen diesen Fällen sind die radioaktiven Isotope also nicht Studienobjekt, sondern Hilfsmittel, wertvolle Werkzeuge für die Lösung von praktischen Problemen oder Forschungsaufgaben. Wie man sich leicht überlegt, gibt es drei prinzipielle Möglichkeiten, d. h. diese und nur diese drei Möglichkeiten, radioaktive Isotope anzuwenden (Tab. 1).
