Zusammenfassung
Nachdem die Theorie des Tragflügels bei inkompressibler Strömung für das ebene Problem (unendliche Spannweite) in Kap. VI und für das räumliche Problem (endliche Spannweite) in Kap. VII erörtert worden ist, soll nunmehr in diesem Kapitel der Tragflügel bei kompressibler Strömung behandelt werden. Die hierfür erforderlichen Grundlagen der Theorie kompressibler Strömungen wurden in Kap. II1 (Gasdynamik) bereitgestellt. Dort wurden auch bereits einige Ergebnisse zur Tragflügeltheorie bei kompressibler Strömung angegeben, Kap. 3.4 und 3.5.
