Summary
In the present paper, the flow characteristics is numerically investigated for pitching and longitudinal oscillating airfoils at high incidence by using the Navier-Stokes equations. The study emphasis is put on the flow structures and their evolution from the viewpoint of vortex dynamics. The force features exerting on the body surface are discussed with relation to the vortex structures.
