Larval Transport in Coastal Crustacea: Three Case Histories

  • Conference paper
Coastal-Offshore Ecosystem Interactions

Part of the book series: Lecture Notes on Coastal and Estuarine Studies ((COASTAL,volume 22))

Abstract

Larval transport mechanisms of three coastal Crustacea are presented as three case histories: (1) Panulirus cygnus, the western rock lobster, found off western Australia, (2) Pandalus iordani, the pink shrimp, distributed off the west coast of North America, and (3) Penaeus merauiensis, the banana prawn, which occurs throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
