Zusammenfassung
Die Anwendungsentwicklung steht heute vor einen schwierigen Dilemma: Neue Produkte mit neuen Eigenschaften (graphische Benutzeroberfläche) und gleichzeitig kürzere Entwicklungszeiten werden gefordert. Die Produkte sind jedoch wesentlich aufwendiger in der Entwicklung. Also müssen für die Entwicklung dieser Produkte neue Entwicklungstechnologien eingesetzt werden. Deren Einführung kostet jedoch noch mehr Zeit und die betroffenen Entwickler sind nicht verfügbar, da sie zu einem hohen Prozentsatz in der Wartung gebunden sind und folglich neue Produkte noch später verfügbar werden. Der Beitrag will das Kernproblem der Beherrschung des technologischen Wandels in der Informatik behandeln und den möglichen Beitrag des ReEngineering ausloten.
