Zusammenfassung

Unter atypischen Masern versteht man eine fieberhafte Erkrankung mit einem ungewöhnlichen Exanthem nach Maserninfektion bei Kindern und Jugendlichen, die als Kleinkinder gegen Masern geimpft worden waren. Das Krankheitsbild kommt nach Impfung sowohl mit abgetötetem Masernvirus allein als auch mit abgetötetem Masernvirus, gefolgt von abgeschwächtem Lebendvirus vor (Fulginiti et al. 1967; Mc Lean et al. 1970; Brodsky 1972; Cherry et al. 1972; Nichols et al. 1976; Laptook et al. 1978; Fulginiti u. Helfer 1980). Die Erstbeschreibung erfolgte durch Rauh u. Schmidt 1965. In Deutschland berichteten Irtel von Brenndorff et al. (1973), Hagge et al. (1974), Hauke u. Holthusen (1975), Grundner u. Leiter (1983/84) sowie Ball (1985) über dieses Krankheitsbild.
