Zusammenfassung
Die vor uns liegende Frage von Stoffwechselwirkungen hormonaler Kontrazeptiva gibt Veranlassung zu einem kurzen Rückblick auf den Weg, den diese Methoden der Fertilitätskontrolle nun schon hinter sich gebracht haben. Aus der Sicht des Pharmakologen war eine erste Voraussetzung, daß man die natürlichen weiblichen Sexualhormone Estradiol und Progesteron chemisch so abwandelte, daß diese zwar ihre hormonelle Wirksamkeit behielten, aber im Organismus langsamer als die mehr oder weniger kontinuierlich sezernierten Hormone abgebaut und eliminiert wurden.
