Zusammenfassung
Die klassische und bisher auch wichtigste Anwendung von arteigen gebundenem Siliciumcarbid ist für Hochtemperatur-Heizleiter [1]. Deren obere Anwendungstemperatur an Luft liegt bei 1650 °C. Die Herstellung erfolgt durch Reaktionssintern, wobei kohlenstoffhaltige SiC-Formlinge durch Reaktion mit flüssigem oder dampfförmigem Silicium oder Siliciumoxiden in reine SiC-Körper mit oder ohne Si-Überschuß je nach Reaktionsführung umgewandelt werden.
