Zusammenfassung

In der Gestaltung der Kirchenhoheit bildet die Reformation eine tief einschneidende Änderung. Vor derselben befindet sich der Staat in einer durchaus untergeordneten Stellung der Kirche gegenüber, obgleich die Hohenzollern verschiedene Versuche manten, unter Benutzung der im 15. Ihd. bestehenden Ohnmacht der Kirche dieselbe dem Staate wenigstens einigermaßen unterzuordnen und namentlich von Staatswegen die Grenzen zu ziehen für die kirchliche Gerichtsbarkeit.
