Zusammenfassung

„Eine Operation darf nicht gefährlicher sein als der Spontanverlauf, ein prophylaktischer Eingriff erst recht nicht.“ An diesem chirurgischen Grundsatz ist nichts zu rütteln. An ihm ist auch die Operation an der A. carotis interna zu messen [3, 5].
