Zusammenfassung

Die Aufspaltung del Nucleinsäuren im Organismus bis zuden Endbausteinen derselben (Purin- bzw. Pyrimidinbasen, Kohlehydrat und Phosphorsäure) wurde bisher del Einwirkung von 3 Fermentarten zugeschrieben: del Nuclease, Purindesamidase und Xanthinoxydase (Bd. IV, S. 1097). Nach den neueren Befunden von Jones, Levene, ferner Schittenhelm und ihrer Mitarbeiter ist die Nuclease nicht mehr als einheitliches Ferment aufzufassen, sondern die Aufspaltung del hoheren Nuclcinsauren (Polynucleotide) bis zu den Purinbasen ist vom kombinierten Eingriff mehrerer, voneinander unabhangig wirkenden Fermentarten abhangig, Ebenso wurde die Kenntnis del desamidierenden Fermente betrachtlich erweitert. Wir miissen heute folgende selbstandig wirksame Fermente unterscheiden: die Nucleinase1),d. h. die Nuclease imengeren Sinne, welche die Spaltung del Nucleinsauren, daher die Polynucleotide, in einfache (Mono-)Nucleotide bewirkt (z. B. die Tectranuclease)2); die Nucleotidasen, die eine Spaltung del einfachen Nucleotide, die aus 1 Mol. Base, 1 Mol. Kohlehydrat und 1 Mol. Phosphorsaure aufgebaut sind, in diese Bausteine herbeifiihren. Diese Spaltung kann nun in del Weise erfolgen, daB dabei Produkte einer partiellen Hydrolyse entstehen. So ruft die Phosphonuclease3) eine Abspaltung del Phosphorsäure hervor, indes die Bindung zwischen den beiden organischen Komplexen (Nucleosidkomplex) unverletzt bleibt. Die Purinnuclease3) hingegen bewirkt die Abspaltung del Purinbase und fiihrt gleichzeitig zum Zerfall des ganzen Molekiils in die drei genannten Bausteine. Endlich existieren noch Fermente, die eine Spaltung der Nucleoside in Zucker + Base bewirken: die Nucleosidasen1).
