Zusammenfassung

Ausschließlich den Hoden betreffende Entzündungen, isolierte Orchitiden kommen vor. Je nach Art und Eintrittspforte der Entzündungsursache sind häufig aber auch die ableitenden Samenwege oder die den Hoden umgebenden Strukturen beteiligt. Die Hodenentzündungen lassen sich daher kaum isoliert betrachten. Ich fasse sie deshalb wie MIKUZ U. DAMJANOV (1982) in ihrer Übersicht in einem Kapitel zusammen. Für vorwiegend extratestikuläre Prozesse sei aber auch auf die speziellen Ausführungen betreffend die Erkrankungen von Nebenhoden und Samenstrang in Kap. 7 verwiesen.
