Zusammenfassung
Die Möglichkeit, daß ein Patient während einer Operation aus einer Allgemeinanästhesie erwacht und gar Operationsschmerz oder andere chirurgische Manipulationen wahrnehmen und postoperativ bewußt erinnern kann, muß Patienten und Anästhesisten in äußerste Beunruhigung versetzen. Patienten, die solches erleben, sind während der Operation wach, völlig hilflos und in schrecklicher Panik. Nach einer Operation erinnern sie sich ängstlich und lebhaft an den Schmerz und andere Details des chirurgischen Eingriffs.
