Zusammenfassung

Orthotope Herztransplantationen (HTPL) werden seit 10 Jahren weltweit in zunehmender Anzahl durchgeführt und sind an immer mehr medizinischen Zentren zu Routineeingriffen geworden. Die 30-Tage-Mortalität ist zwischen 1980 und 1988 von 17% auf weniger als 9% gesunken. Die Langzeitüberlebensrate nach HTPL beträgt ca. 90% nach einem Jahr, ca. 80% nach 5 Jahren und ca. 70% nach 10 Jahren [20]. Entsprechend ist zu erwarten, daß Anästhesieärzte in den Transplantations-wie auch in anderen medizinischen Zentren immer häufiger mit herztransplantierten Patienten konfrontiert werden, welche einen chirurgischen oder diagnostischen Eingriff benötigen.
