Zusammenfassung

Die Behandlung der dissezierenden oder rupturierten thorakalen Aneurysmen der Aorta gehört zu den großen Herausforderungen sowohl für den Chirurgen als auch für den Anästhesisten. Die Mortalität bei der akuten Dissektion der thorakalen Aorta ist erschreckend hoch; sie wird in der Literatur mit 15 bis 75 angegeben. Dagegen sind die Überlebenschancen nach elektiver Resektion wesentlich besser; es überleben mehr als 90% der Patienten den geplanten, nicht notfallmäßig durchgeführten Eingriff [4, 7, 13].
