Abstract

The aim of the work the authors are currently concerned with is the determination of the concentrations of trace gases like CO, CO2, NO, SO2, HCl, etc. in the exhaust gas of industrial smokestacks or aircrafts. The instrument used for the measurements is a Fourier Transform Spectrometer (FTS) operating in emission mode. Thus a passive remote sensing technique is applied.
